Beyond FTP Script Status - Workspace

Back to Feature TourBack to Feature Tour Back Next

The All tab displays the name, times, and status for each compiled script on the system. It can also display information for scripts on remote systems. Double-clicking a script name will open the real-time script results and display it on a tab in the Script Results Window.
You must retrieve at least one script from a remote server for the server name to appear in this list. Only those scripts that you have explicitly retrieved will be listed here. You can modify this list at any time by selecting Add Remote Scripts from the right click or the options menu. Checking the box next to the server will engage the auto update functions.

The Active tab displays the name and start time for each running script on your local computer. It can also display active scripts at remote servers. You must retrieve at least one script from a remote server for the server name to appear in this list. However, refreshing a remote server will display ALL running scripts at that server, whether or not you have a local copy of the results. This means that there may be running scripts that you cannot display. These would have to be retrieved from the All Scripts Workspace.

Double-clicking a script name will open the real-time script results and display it on a tab in the Script Results Window.

Note Only one script at a time may be active in the Beyond FTP client. All other scripts will remain in the scheduled queue. The Beyond FTP server can operate any number of scripts simultaneously.

The Scheduled tab displays the names and scheduled start times for currently pending scripts. It can also display scheduled scripts at remote servers. You must retrieve at least one script from a remote server for the server name to appear in this list. However, refreshing a remote server will display ALL scheduled scripts at that server, whether or not you have a local copy of the results. This means that there may be scheduled scripts that you cannot display. These would have to be retrieved from the All Scripts Workspace.

The status may be either Queued or Waiting depending on whether the start time has passed. Waiting scripts cannot run because other scripts are already running. Double-clicking a script name will open the real-time script results and display it on a tab in the Script Results Window.

Note: Only one script at a time may be active in the Beyond FTP client. All other scripts will be either queued or waiting. The Beyond FTP server can operate any number of scripts. The waiting status will be seen only when the same script is already running, or a mutually exclusive script (see the Block_Script command) is running. When a scheduled script is released for execution, the most current compiled form of the script is executed. If a script is modified and compiled, run, or scheduled, all scheduled entries for that same script will execute the new version.

The Errors Only tab displays the name, result, and ending time for each script that reported a global error. It can also display pending scripts on remote systems. Double-clicking a script name will open the real-time script results and display it on a tab in the Script Results Window.
